I recently wrote about making a disciple versus making a convert.  Making converts is about addition.  Addition is good, but, if all you do is add, your eventual outcome will be meager.

In last Sunday’s article on discipleship, I wrote about the true nature of a disciple of Christ.  A disciple is one who goes beyond the elementary teaching about Christ to develop in the image of Christ.  Developing in the image of Christ is my topic today.

“So let us stop going over the basic teaching about Christ again and again.  Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding.  Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.” Hebrews 6:1, NLT.
